Why should you offer this to your staff?
The health of New Zealanders is a growing concern and workplaces can play a significant role in addressing the health and wellness of their employees. The workplace has been recognised internationally as an important setting for health promotion and offers an ideal environment to promote and support healthy lifestyle changes to a large audience.
Our objectives are twofold. Firstly, we want to see your employees enjoy the health benefits that come from stretching. Secondly, we want you as a company to benefit by having relaxed, mobile, healthy staff that are productive and happy workers.
Stretching and movement increases blood and nutrient supply to muscles, and to the brain, thereby assisting in reducing muscle soreness and helping to send more oxygen to the brain, enabling better clarity of thought.
Through our classes we aim to create a workplace environment that encourages employees to incorporate physical activity into their daily routine — be it through the course at hand, or in taking up other opportunities to exercise in their own time.
This class is for people who live more sedentary lives, to elite athletes. Stretching for Sitters is a 45-60 minute class focusing on mobility, flexibility and strength. The class will have a strong focus on movements to support the physical well-being of a desk-sitter, however will also provide a mental break for those in high-pressure positions.
This class uses yoga principles to combine stretching with breath and mindfulness in order to effectively stretch overworked or chronically tight muscles. We also include self-massage (with use of yoga therapy balls) as well on consistent education on ways to keep your body happy and healthy. Prevent injury and relieve stress with this explorative and relaxing class.
For those who prefer to get more of a ‘workout’ through yoga.
This class combines body-weight strength work for your upper body, thighs and glutes with athletic, vinyasa-style yoga for flexibility, balance and energy. With a combined focus on mindfulness and strength, we work on toning your deep core while keeping your mind focused and relaxed.
This class is the ultimate combination of strength-building and relaxation. Every class moves through strength-based sequences followed by breath-centred yoga flow and finishes with deep stretching, self-massage, and guided rest.

$180+gst per 45 minute session
$200+gst per 60 minute session
At your office
$200+gst per 45 minute session
$215+gst per 60 minute session
Dependent on space, 20 people is our suggested maximum. Smaller is usually best so we can offer a more bespoke and hands-on session.
We can either run sessions at the Barre Base studio (7 Crawford Street) or in your office if it is hospitable. If we run these sessions in your studio, you will be responsible for providing yoga mats — however we will bring any other pieces of equipment required.
