This April, Barre Base is Moving!
By Rosa Anderson - Jones
So if you haven't heard the news, or you're not on our mailing list, Barre Base is moving studios this April!
Our new studio will be at 7 Crawford Street, in Victoria Chambers (just down the road).
We're sad to be leaving our Vogel Street studio, but we're ready to expand. With new memberships and growing numbers, we want to offer you more class times and variety, and this is only viable in our very own studio.
Our last session at Vogel Street will be Friday 31st March, and we will re-open at our new space on Tuesday 3rd April.
In our own studio, we're able to offer you more classes. We've added more times, and a new class to our schedule.
Check out our timetable from April onwards.
With our own studio space, we're now able to offer private and corporate sessions. We've done some fantastic private sessions with Dunedin businesses in the past, and we're excited to push this further. Whether your team needs to have a laugh, relax or just get up off the desk, we can cater to your needs. Private sessions are also available if you require further assistance with technique, or yourself and a few friends prefer a boutique workout at a time that suits you. Get in touch if you're interested in organising a private Barre, Stretch or Yoga session.
Postpartum Private Sessions
Barre Base is now offering a service for postpartum women to restore their core and move with more strength, ease and confidence in their everyday lives. Sessions are led by yoga instructor and birth doula Anastasia Smith. They include a focus on retraining the brain-core connection, breathing effectively for core mobilization, and building serious strength to hold you up. We’ll use many exercises that you’ll already recognize from Barre Base classes but with a more directed emphasis on women’s health. These classes are catered to your individual needs and goals. Get in touch for more details!
If you're looking to learn more about building strength postpartum but aren't quite ready for a 1:1 session, stay tuned for a deep core and pelvic floor workshop in April! This workshop is designed for postpartum women, but welcome to anyone seeking to improve core stability regardless of gender or motherhood status. Together, we'll work through barre movements and breath-core activation that will increase body-confidence and strength. Sessions times TBC.
